Personal Network Storage
Kellogg gives you two ways to store personal files that can be accessed over the network: a 100MB secured "home directory" and a 50MB "web directory" for personal Web pages. Data stored in your network drives is backed up nightly, and can be restored up to 30 days back, should you accidentally delete or overwrite an important file.
Shared Network Storage
Shared network storage is available for Kellogg departments and faculty/staff workgroups. You may also request a customized network storage location for projects that require restricted access and collaboration. Data is backed up nightly, and can be restored up to 30 days back, should you accidentally delete or overwrite an important file. For more advanced document collaboration, Kellogg also provides addition online storage solutions (see online collaboration).
Personal Data Backup and Syncronization
Data Dackup and Syncronization allows you to store redundant copies of files on your computer. This ensures your data is safe in case of a hard drive failure, or other major distaster at Kellogg/NU. Syncronizing your data allows you to access the same version of a file on multiple computers, rather than managing multple versions and sending copies back and forth.
